Siege of Orgrimmar 06 · Gate of Vengeance · MoP Classic 5.4.8
MoP Classic P5 Iron Juggernaut Guide
In Assault phase handle tank spikes and mines; in Siege phase stop greed and stay safe amid knockbacks and ground weapons.
Phase Goals
- Assault mode:Spread out, tanks swap, designated players step on mines and avoid drills/lasers.
- Siege Mode:Use safe walls or fixed points to resist knockback; healers cover raid-wide sustained damage.
- Re-engage:Return early so new tank mechanics don't overlap with old ground effects.
Tank, Healer, and DPS Duties
- Tank:Boss faces away from raid; tank swap on Flame Breath stacks.
- Tank:During the siege phase, you can help soak mines, but must save mitigation for the next Assault.
- Healer:Mine triggers need shields/damage reduction before and after landing; use sustained raid cooldowns during the siege phase.
- Healer:Knockbacks interrupt long casts; move early and use instant casts.
- DPS:Stable DPS in Assault phase; in Siege phase prioritize avoiding lasers, sawblades, and drills.
- DPS:Immune/strong mitigation classes step on mines as assigned; do not change the order arbitrarily.
Heroic Mode and WCL Review
- Explosive Tar and Cutting Laser combo requires unified kiting to avoid igniting oil pools near the group.
- The siege phase environment is denser; establish one overall movement direction.
- Mine soakers, damage reduction, and death timeline.
- Flame Vents tank swap stacks, extra damage during siege phase, and knockback deaths.
Representative Timeline
- 0:00 Assault Mode:Active mitigation before first breath; non-tanks away from front.
- 0:33 Mine 1:Click in order of list 1–3, healers pre-hot each.
- 1:05 Mine 2:If the first set of abilities is not ready, switch to the next set; do not force a repeat and take unnecessary damage.
- 1:36 Mine 3:Clear all mines before the raid moves to the wall, to avoid anyone clicking after phase transition.
- 2:03 Siege Mode:Spread horizontally against the wall; schedule raid cooldowns for three impacts.
- 2:29 Laser + Tar:Debuffed player walks along outer edge, never through tar; others clear the path.
