MoP Classic P5 Thok the Bloodthirsty Guide

During grouped phase, shrieks get faster; after reaching raid limit, actively transition to chase; kited target follows predetermined route, everyone avoids head and tail.

Phase Goals

  • Suppression Roar:Raid stacks for healing, arrange cooldowns by Scream stacks and avoid being locked out of casts.
  • Blood Frenzy:Open cages, kill jailers, kited marked players along routes.
  • New element:After consuming prisoners, gains fire/ice/poison abilities; regroup and handle new mechanics.

Tank, Healer, and DPS Duties

  • Tank:Terrifying Roar/Breath stacks for tank swaps; protect the raid when turning.
  • Tank:When bats appear, gather them and use damage reduction; jailer threat must not disrupt kiting routes.
  • Healer:Screech intervals decrease; long casts will be locked out. Later in the fight, rely more on instant casts and raid cooldowns.
  • Healer:Prepare dispels and targeted healing in order during Ice Tomb/poison or fire phases.
  • DPS:Prioritize Jailer, bats, ice tombs per tactics; during chase phase keep ranged DPS but don't cut corners.
  • DPS:Use burst during the longest planned stack phase or dangerous adds.

Heroic Mode and WCL Review

  • Extra targets like Yeti cages tighten chase route; cage openers and kiters must divide roles.
  • High-level Shriek challenges casting rhythm, stopping casts early is safer than being spell-locked.
  • Screech stacks, raid cooldown coverage, and number of lockouts in each grouping phase.
  • Gaze deaths, Jailer/Bat/Ice Tomb kill times, and frontal/tail swipe damage taken.

Representative Timeline

  • 0:00 P1: Stack:Group up near and far, pre-place healing, avoid interruptible casts during Scream.
  • 0:38 Screech acceleration:Begin rotating raid cooldowns and instant heals; casters use interrupt protection tools.
  • 1:00 High-level window:By planned stacks, don't force standard progression with speed-kill samples.
  • 2:10 Chase 1:Gaze targets run to the outer ring, key handlers follow routes, others attack the boss from behind.
  • 2:26 Gaze rotation:New targeted players leave the group first then follow the route; old targeted players return from the inside.
  • 3:06 New P1:Raid regroups, adjust dispels/positioning based on new breath type.
