MoP Classic P5 Mistweaver Monk Guide

Pre-spread Renewing Mist; when damage arrives, use Uplift to convert Chi into AoE healing, and weave in safe Mana Tea recovery windows.

Core resource:Mana · Chi

Core Rotation

  • Use Renewing Mist on cooldown to spread; consume Chi with Uplift or Enveloping Mist before nearing full.
  • Thunder Focus Tea empowers next key spell; use Jade Serpent Wind/Spinning Crane Kick only when target count and positioning are appropriate.
  • Drink Mana Tea in segments, and use Revival according to the raid timeline, not just when health is low.

Mechanics and Opener

  • Soothing Mist system:Renewing Mist provides spread sustained healing and Uplift's raid-wide connection; coverage targets and Uplift timing determine AoE healing ceiling.
  • Chi:Generate Chi with Jab/Soothing Mist/Chi Wave, spend with Uplift and Zen Sphere. Capping Chi means losing the next group heal.
  • Mana Tea:Consuming Chi accumulates Tea stacks; drinking Tea is part of the rotation, not an emergency mana recovery; fit it into low-damage and movement windows.
  • -8 sec|Pre-spread Renewing Mist across different groups/raid members:Ensure the first Uplift has enough valid targets.
  • -3 sec|Place Jade Serpent Statue in main stack; prepare Thunder Focus Tea:Establish coverage anchors from the first round.
  • 0 sec|Use melee/soothing system to generate chi in low-pressure phases.:First build resources; do not create ineffective group healing.
  • Before raid damage|Thunder Focus Tea → Renewing Mist/Uplift (per build):Expand sustained healing network when damage arrives.
  • After raid damage|Uplift; drink Mana Tea during low-damage gaps.:AoE heal hits the deficit and immediately cash in resource restoration.

Common Mistakes and WCL Review

  • Before Uplift, confirm the actual active targets of Renewing Mist.
  • Melee Mistweaving must respect frontal, ground, and interrupt mechanics.
  • Active Renewing Mist targets and effective Uplift healing.
  • Chi capping, Mana Tea stack count/usage safety, and Revival overhealing.
