MoP Classic P5 Combat Rogue Guide

Unholy attacks advance Insight; finishers reduce major cooldowns; during Deep Insight concentrate Killing Spree and Adrenaline Rush burst.

Core resource:Energy · Combo Points

Core Rotation

  • Maintain Slice and Dice, generate combo points with Sinister Strike, use Revealing Strike to empower finishers, and Eviscerate as the main spender.
  • Use Restless Blades to continuously reduce Adrenaline Rush/Killing Spree cooldowns; pre-pool resources before Deep Insight.
  • On two targets, use Blade Flurry; when there are too many targets or damage must be controlled, turn it off promptly to avoid incorrect cleaving.

Mechanics and Opener

  • Bandit's Guile:Continuously attacking the same target increases Insight level; unplanned target switches reset progress; Deep Insight is burst core.
  • Relentless Strikes and energy:High-combo-point finishers restore energy more reliably, low-combo-point random Eviscerates disrupt resource cycles.
  • Blade Flurry:Copies single-target damage to nearby targets; strong for two targets; resource/damage tradeoff when active; must be off for single target.
  • -2 sec|Stealth, potion, Tricks of the Trade on tank.:Safely handle the high burst at the start.
  • 0 sec|Ambush/Shadowstrike opener:Quickly start Insight progress and combo points.
  • First batch of points|Slice and Dice:Improves auto-attack and passive resource gains.
  • Medium/Deep Insight|Killing Spree (ensure safe positioning):Pool strong abilities into higher Insight multipliers.
  • Resource Trough|Adrenaline Rush + trinkets, Sinister Strike/Eviscerate cycle:Gain maximum acceleration benefit when there is energy space.

Common Mistakes and WCL Review

  • Killing Spree changes your position; do not use it near dangerous ground or platform edges.
  • Don't force a full burst during shallow Insight and low energy.
  • Slice and Dice uptime, Insight phase distribution, and finisher count.
  • Are Killing Spree/Adrenaline Rush used during Deep Insight, and is Blade Flurry effectively cleaving?
